Your first time report

From the first entry to an approved time report.

Start with one employee and project. A full day with a break lets you verify time recording before inviting the rest of the team.

Prepare the work

Add a person, project and task. Define who will review and approve time.

Record a day

Start work in the appropriate app, select a project, record a break and finish work.

Verify the result

Open the report for the employee and period. Resolve missing or incorrect entries, approve data and export the report.

TRY THE EXAMPLE

Walk through a shift with a break

Employee app example: 08:00–16:00 with a 12:00–12:30 break. In this configuration, the break is excluded from working time.

The data is fictional. This demo does not write anything to a company account.

GUIDE

Your first time record in the web panel

Before you start

Prepare an administrator account, an employee account and a test project if you use projects. Check whether the employee may edit their own entries.

  1. Administrator: prepare the project and access

Create a test project in the projects area. Review its team and settings in project details. On the employee account, verify that the project is available for selection.

  2. Employee: record the complete workflow

Start work recording and select the project. Use “Start Break”, choose an available break type, then resume work and end the session. Break availability follows company settings.

  3. Employee: check History

Open “History” and select the month and year. Open an entry in “Work Time Details” and check start, finish, project and note. If editing is unavailable, send the correct details to your administrator.

  4. Administrator: review and approve

In “Work Time”, select the employee and period. Open the entry details, resolve unfinished or incorrect sessions, then approve correct records. Check approved and awaiting hours separately.

  5. Download and reconcile the report

On the “Work Time” screen choose “Download CSV”. Compare the period, employee and total with the panel filters. Keep the first correct report as your pilot result.

How to check it worked

A completed entry for the right employee, correct approval and a CSV matching the selected period.

First-run questions

Why is an entry still awaiting approval?

Finishing work and approving time are separate actions. Check the responsible person’s decision in the time records.

Why can’t the employee edit time?

Editing depends on permissions and the entry’s state. An authorised person should make the correction; do not create a duplicate entry to replace an incorrect one.
