Define stages
Create stages such as To do, In progress and Done. Define what completion means.
Your first task board
Create one board and move a task from assignment to completion. Check that the manager can access completion evidence.
Create stages such as To do, In progress and Done. Define what completion means.
Add an assignee, deadline and description. Attach resources the employee needs before starting.
Add comments and photos. If the workflow needs a signature, prepare a task document, collect signatures and keep the completed PDF.
TRY THE EXAMPLE
Adapt these sample board stages and task details to your organisation.
The data is fictional. This demo does not write anything to a company account.
1 / 3
To do
Assign the employee, project and board column. Save the task.
2 / 3
In progress
Save the comment and check that the attachment has finished uploading. Documents require separate module access.
3 / 3
Done
Board position and open/closed task status are separate settings. Check both; moving a card does not replace review.
GUIDE
An administrator prepares the board, employees and task access. If a document is needed, enable the relevant module and preparation and sending permissions.
Open “Boards”, add a board, enter its name and save. Prepare columns such as “To do”, “In progress” and “Done”. These example names can be adapted.
In the task form, select assignees and enter the title and dates. Set “Kanban Board”, project, priority and comment. Save the task and check that it appears on the intended board.
Open the task and add a comment and file or photo. Wait for upload and save completion. Check the result on the account of an assigned employee.
Move the card to the next column. Once work is complete, check the task’s open/closed status and completion evidence. A column name and task status are separate settings.
In task documents, choose a published template and review fields and signers. Collect required signatures and open the final PDF before closing the workflow.
The task has the correct column and status, an assignee, and an accessible comment and attachment.
Check the assignee and permissions. Creating a board does not give every employee access to every task.
Check that uploading and saving the card have finished. After a connection error, refresh and verify the saved state before adding the file again.
